Finding a Charter School

The exhaustive list of all charter schools in Pennsylvania can be found on the Pennsylvania Department of Education website.

But more practical tools for parents are:

• Greatschools.org,
• Niche.com,
• Philadelphia only: greatphillyschools.org.

Each of these has search fields and filters that enable you to key in your address and locate charter schools in your area.

Charter schools do not have geographic restrictions, however busing is only provided in a 10-mile radius of the school. You do not need to live in a specific school district to attend a charter school that resides in the district, however if enrollment is limited, priority will be given to students that live within the boundaries of the school district.
